Natsumi Hayashi is a Japanese photographer well known for her self portraits. What sticks out about her work is the levitation element she includes in every portrait. What I love about her images is that they are mostly casual, taken in public places where you have to look twice to completely understand it. Her images are simple, making everyday activities look more exciting by adding the element of defying gravity. The posing she chooses allows the image to look completely natural, as if it was all captured in one shot. What I have learned from her work is the importance of posing and simplicity.
